Bill McQuade is Vice President of Government Affairs and Global Sustainability at Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), where he leads engagement with regulators, legislators and industry bodies worldwide, while driving the company’s global ESG strategy.
With more than 30 years of experience in the HVAC&R industry, McQuade has held a range of technical and leadership roles spanning engineering innovation, policy and sustainability. He has been awarded 22 U.S. and international patents covering chiller design, oil separation, control algorithms and leak detection for flammable refrigerants.
McQuade has contributed to several high-level international and national initiatives, including serving as an industry representative on the Indo-U.S. Taskforce on Hydrofluorocarbons and as an expert on the U.S. Department of Energy’s HVAC Roadmap Collaboration Team at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
An ASHRAE Fellow, he received the ASHRAE Exceptional Service Award in 2023. McQuade holds both a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University.
